Gveleti Restaurant sits at the trailhead of the hike to the Gveleti waterfalls in the Kazbegi valley, making it the natural gathering place for hikers before and after the walk. Kazbegi Restaurant is one of the central restaurants in Stepantsminda, the town at 1700m altitude below Georgia's most iconic mountain, Mkinvartsveri (Mount Kazbek).
